Bicentenario del Nacimiento de Beethoven.

1970.- Hojita Bloque que conmemora el 200º aniversario del nacimiento del genio de la música Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827). La Sinfonía nº 5 en do menor Op. 67 de Ludwig van Beethoven es una de sus más importantes sinfonías y una de las obras clásicas más populares. También se le llama la Quinta de Beethoven.

Esta Hoja Bloque emitida en 1970 de un valor facial de 1 Marco, de unas dimensiones de 80 x 56 mm. Homenajea a uno de los más grandes compositores de todos los tiempos.

Hello Ray: thank you for your link. You run a nice blog here and I enjoy clicking through even though I do not speak spanish. As I have nothing else to say I will add some additional facts to the shown stamp: Issue date was dec 10th 1970, the design was made by Gerhard Stauf and it was printed with a quantity of 1 900 000 pieces. Just in case you liked to know…

I just added a link to Filatelissimo.com to my Blogroll so hopefully there are even some more visitors passing by. I really like the idea to point out to the cultural facts which underlie the stamp’s motives - I always considered postage stamps to be a (small) key to certain regional/cultural peculiarities of the particular country issueing.
